Sunset Passion!
This is the collection where I actually “let my hair down”. Yeah, I know.... no mo’ hair on my head! These images are crossing the line from old-school into the new genres of digital imaging. I love this stuff!
It was only about 5 years ago that we could not even make a sunset image so rich and vibrant. Better sensors; better software, and better photographers are all merging together into one creative force today, and so even without the help of Photoshop we have the imaginative freedom to produce artwork that will blow your mind. My Hawaii sunset photography has become an instant favorite.
The artwork in this collection may be packaged to suit your personal taste. Prints ordered on acid-free watercolor paper will be center-mounted on black foamboard. Koa wood framing is available. Artwork ordered on canvas will be expertly stretched. Remember that our guaranteed safe shipping is absolutely free on all orders shipped within the United States!
Maluaka Glow
I ran to the rocky coast at Maluaka Point just in time to set up my tripod and capture one of the most brilliant images I have ever witnessed.

Perfect Relaxation, Kihei, Maui
This single palm tree has always caught my attention swaying alone, at Kama'ole Beach. I love how the gently moving leaves of this coconut tree softly play in the tradewind breeze. This is my gallery manager's favorite image!

First Light , Hana
One of Hana's marvels is a wave-dashed ocean pinnacle called Alau Island. One can't help but notice those curiously growing coconut trees there. Several theories exist of how Alau got its coconut hat. 80 year old lifelong Hana resident Shige Tanaka fished Alau Island with his father in the pre-statehood days and recalls how in 1941 they planted those trees so they would always have coconut water to drink! In the old days they carried their water out in glass gallons which would break against the rocks so they brought trees from their yard and planted them in the "bird holes". These two trees thrived in the natural fertilizer and sprouted even more!

"Romantic Night in Paradise"
I was staying at the Outrigger Reef Hotel after a day-long tour of Pearl Harbor. I was pooped out and grumpy and ready for bed. On a whim, I meandered out on the the small concrete pier directly in front of the hotel at 11pm. When I got to the end of the pier and turned around, I saw Waikiki all lit up like a Christmas tree! I made long camera exposures -- up to 6 minutes. With my eyes, I couldn't even see the shape of Diamond Head, but the camera sensor gathered up plenty of data. Beautiful Data!!!

"Beach Chairs "
Po'olenalena Beach, Makena, Maui, is one of the few beaches that has been left un-changed through the years. It is clean, peaceful, and thankfully a bit hard to find. I love this beach! In the cove on the right, a couple of beach chairs were left empty as perfect props for this sunset image.

Maui Rocks
Many who take lava rocks from Hawai'i claim bad luck follows and often ship the rocks back as good measure. In Hawaiian tradition, the land, the sea, the animals, the fish, the plants, and the stones are respected as gifts of God. These are living things for us to use, to share, to preserve, and to respect. The rocks are living; the rocks have spirit and bad things can happen if you don't ask the stone.
